Introduction

This year the chosen destiny for our annual DX-pedition is the Federal Islamic Republic of the Comoros Islands (D6). This time, and due to personal and labor reasons, we have not been able to do our DX-pedition in the month of october, as usual, and have had to postpone the dates of the operation till the month of January, although having been working on it since several months ago.

Due to the political inestability that this little country has suffered since its independence from France in 1975, with several military overthrows (some of them with success and other not, being the most recent attemp in May 2000), the declaration of independence of two of the three islands in 1997, and also the fact that actually there is no local ham operator active, all these have made this DXCC entity be arisen places in the most wanted list ranking. And this is the reason why we have chosen as destiny for our next DX-pedition.

Our goal is to be active the maximum possible number of hours and give the QSO to all those who need this DXCC country, just being a total "new one" or just needing it in an specific band o mode.
